We always blame mistakes to others but ourselves, we exploit, we destroy, we hunt, we burnt, we did everything that caused major damage to the world, but when comes to major disasters, we BLAMED everything else but us, it is undeniable that humans, are selfish... Only those who are still willing to sacrifice him/herself during extreme times, who still love his/her mankind, deserves to be a human... I salute you, Roland Emmerich, for bringing such an inspiring movie...

1st paper in USM

This morning I had the first final paper in USM, the feeling for exam is not there, I mean I should feel nervous but don't know why, I don't feel it. If you said I'm well-prepared? Nope, I'm not. But maybe because I've been through UPSR, PMR, SPM and even STPM, I'm numbed already.

I did pretty okay this morning. Although there are some parts I just simply sketch my answer on the answer sheets, but I tried hard to get full marks on questions that I know how to do. Hopefully I can get an A for this subject, Organic Chemistry. If it happens, it'll be the first time ever I managed to get an A in Chemistry. Before this, the highest achievement is always A2 or an A-. Next paper is on Thursday, BM. Well, guess I can relax for tomorrow. Cheers and all the best ^^

Busy Week

It has been a busy week after the Raya Holiday. Assignments, homeworks, presentations, tests are storming. Starting to feel the pinch finally, all these while (before the Raya Holiday) was relax and slumble for me, didn't really feel any stress until now. Anyway I will still find some time to relax and take a break from those tasks, for instance I do watch drama ( CSI ) whenever my head is stuck or after I've finished doing those work. Yesterday I brought my girlfriend to Perangin Mall, the purpose for it is to let the both of us to get far away from work and to enjoy ourselves. Lee Hoon got excited whenever we passed by shoe retailers or even handbags retailers. In the end before we leave the place, she bought herself a pair of high heels, hopefully she likes it. I'm glad that she really enjoy the visit to Perangin Mall yesterday. I hope that I managed to release her stress from assignments and homeworks, especially those belongs to Physical Chem ones ^^

T-Bowl Restaurant

Went to T-Bowl Restaurant at Queensbay Mall 2 weeks ago with my girl and Zhi Heng. It's a restaurant based on the theme of toilets. The interior design of it is very unique. Chairs are replaced with toilet bowls, tables are made of washing sinks, there are even a few shower head on the wall ^^

The dishes are even more "funny". Lee Hoon's mee was served in a mini toilet bowl, whereas Zhi Heng and mine was served on a toilet bowl's cover LMAO.

The whole meal only cost us Rm40 plus plus ^^

Just got back from Penang last night. KTM there was like hell to us. We squeezed like sandwhiches. But in the end it's still worth it because all we wanted is just to go back to our home sweet home. Went to Perangin Mall, Komtar and Penang Times Square on last Sunday's night. Had dinner there, had a movie there and had the first ever 2am-dim-sum as well. The count down was boring (normal to me because I don't really enjoy being in the crowds). Watched the Dance Flick, it was a darn hilarious movie as it contains a lot of dirty jokes. I watched it with Amy, Yanyan and Candy, as expected the girls didn't really enjoy the movie.

BM Presentation

This is the first presentation in USM. The topic is "Masyarakat Malaysia Dahulu, Kini dan Akan Datang". There are four of us in a group - Azmi, Edwin, Zhi Heng and me. Azmi did the opening and closing speech, Zhi Heng did the Masyarakat Malaysia Dahulu, I did the present one and Edwin did the future one. All of us were quite nervous as we have to speak in Bahasa Baku ie the pure and original malay language pronunciation.

Overall the presentation is quite okay, however I'd accidentally spoken an English word which is "SHOPPING"! Even one laughed at me when I said that, even me myself did Haha. What to do, I'm too use to our national language - bahasa rojak already. Wakakaka.

Raya tickets all sold out!!

Bought the bus tickets to go back to Malacca on Raya. But only manage to buy the tickets to KL one. All buses that go straight to Malacca had sold out. And I heard those people talking bout KL to Malacca ones were sold out as well. Now I'm wondering if I can even manage to go back Malacca on Friday or I have to overnight there for one day. The first day after I came back from holiday already have to worry about my next holiday, this happens when you're studying far far away from home. Called my mum already, and she said will see how first. If really don't have bus to come back, my dad might come up to KL to fetch us. Hopefully wont be that bad.
The is the terminal bus near USM. It's about 5 minutes away by bus. The promoters inside were exactly like those in Pudu Raya. Whenever they saw you approaching them, they'll storm you and starting to ask questions like where are you heading? When do you wanna go back? Bla bla bla... I hate that actually. But I understand that they're just trying to pull customers in this competitive world. Couldn't blame them much though.

End of Mid-Sem Break

Broad the 10pm bus last night, Transnational one. Not bad, at least I can get a few hours of sleep. The bus stopped at Seremban to pick up some passengers. After that the drive straight on until a R&R in Ipoh.

This is the place we stopped. Exactly two months ago, I was having a break lunch with my family here when the first time I'm going to Penang. We were having some waffles in the Mesra Mart. Sweet memories.

About 5.30am, we reached Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal. Me and my girlfriend boarded a cab to come back to our hostels. It cost us Rm15, I failed to bargain at all, guess I'm not good with it.

Long time did't go to this restaurant already. Lots of tourist prefer to visit here. Before this it was at Melaka Raya, but they just moved to here recently(Kota Laksamana). Their decoration is more of a modern type compared to the previous one. Went there just now to celebrate my dad's birthday which is this coming Thursday. But because my sister is having tuition on that night, so we celebrate it earlier.

Bought a new phone on last Saturday, the Nokia 5800 Express Music. They called it The Tube as well. It's the first smart phone from Nokia. Fully touch screen with a reasonable price, compared to IPhone's, HTC's, Samsung's etc. Am very satisfy and happy with this phone XD

Been MIA

Been missing in action for the past whole week, due to the unstable Wifi connection in my hostel here. Always unable to connect to the Wifi here, other hostel mates also facing the same problem, I wonder why.

Anyway last week have been quite a busy week for me. Been rushing assignments, homework, tutorials and etc. And it has been raining for the past few days, clothes couldn't dry up. It's a messy week for me. But not pressuring myself, I still watch some Hong Kong dramas whenever I'm free or stressed up. Well, I can say that entertainment is very important to me and I can't live without it Haha.

Vivian and Jia Yi went back to Malacca already last night. They should have reached Malacca 3 hours ago. My turn will be on Friday night, if my classes were canceled, I'll go back on last night too sob sob. Am thinking of what to buy for my parents, any local products from Penang?Haha.

Just Recovered

Been MIA for the past whole week haha. Actually I went to camp on last Friday until Sunday. When came back from camp, I had a slight fever but couldn't be bother and I thought it was nothing. But when I get up the next day, I feel heat all over my body and yes, it's definitely fever. I skipped a few classes, and went to the USM Health Centre for a checkup. Fortunately, doctor said I had a normal fever probably because of the rain during the camp. She gave me some Panadols, cough mixture and Vitamin C.

Yesterday I skipped a few classes too. And we had Sales Expo. Today I feel much better. Guess I'm fully recovered. That's all for now, I'll give the camping details later Sayonara XD

Today is quite free because I have only 3 hours of class and tutorial. Did some laundy after lunch. Actually I was quite lazy to do it but no choice, this coming weekend I'll be joining a camp at Kedah, organised by USM. So, this whole weekend I won't be around to do the cleanings and whatsoever.

This morning we had our Maths quiz also, this is the first quiz for me in USM so far. It was easier than I've expected. After that I had my Maths tutorial, carried out by a Post-Master student from the Environment technology division. He doesn't know how to teach either, doesn't talk and explain much. So basically everyone that attended his class are just copying answers from him. Before this I thought every Chinese can teach Maths better than the Bumis but it proven me wrong today. Sometimes Chinese sux too.

After that I went jogging with my girl around Tasik Harapan near Desasiswa Fajar Harapan.

I've just finished my BM's homework which is essay writing, again! This piece prolly is the longest ever essay I've written since after SPM. Hopefully tomorrow's class won't have any homework or assignments to do during the weekends or I'll be dead by next week.

Going to sleep now. Tomorrow's class starts at 8am. I hate Thursday!

Who would have thought that worms can be so colorful?

Found on coral reefs in tropical waters worldwide, these worms are not only the most interesting looking; they also are the most beautiful.

Spirobranchus giganteus, commonly called as Christmas tree worms are small Christmas tree-shaped serpulid tube-dwelling worm with spectacular twin spirals of plumes used for feeding and respiration. Though tiny in its less than 1 ½ in (3.8 cm) size, its cone-like shape and magnificent twin spiral plumage called radioles makes it widely admired and easily recognized by divers.

Spirobranchus means “spiral gills”, referring to the worms unique crown.

Christmas tree worms come in a wide variety of colors including orange, yellow, blue and white as well as different color combinations. Though the spectacular plumes are visible, most of the worm’s body is anchored in its burrow that it bores into live calcareous coral. These undersea creatures are ultra sensitive to disturbances that even a passing shadow can cause an instant retraction into its hideaway. The plumes usually re-emerge about a minute later, very slowly, to test the water before fully extending all its glory.

They are commonly found embedded in entire heads of massive corals. Like members of its family, serpulidae, it can secrete a calcareous tube around its body, which serves as its home and protection.

Spirobranchus giganteus are filter feeders—they use their beautifully-colored radioles to filter microorganisms in the water, which are then delivered straight into their digestive tract.

These sedentary inhabitants of the deep reproduce by casting their eggs and sperm into the water where they are fertilized and develop into larvae that settle on coral heads and burrow into the coral.

Interaction day

Today is the Interaction Day for the School of Industrial Technology. Everyone suppose to gather by 7.30am at the foyer of our school but as usual, half of them were late. We walked to the football field near the main gate - minden gate. There's where our event will be held. After everyone arrived, we started our day with attendance taking by our senior. Surprisingly out of four divisions, only my class ie. Bioprocess Technology have a full attendance WEeee~~~ ^^

After that is the speeches from our Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Othman b. Sulaiman, followed by the YDP (students' representative ), and three post-graduates Master seniors. We continued the event with Ice Breaking where everyone were divided into their own groups. I'm in Group hachi (8). We have to intorduce ourselves to the other group mates, give a name for our group and lastly to create a cheers for our group. My Group is PanPan Haha.

Next, we have to play a few games, for every games we have to defeat another group in order to collect a star. Few of them were quite boring but there's one I enjoyed the most - the chair game. This is how it works. Each group is provided with a row of 8 chairs, every group member have to stand on the chairs. The last person of the row have to pass the last chair of the row until the front without touching the ground. After a certain distance, one chair will be removed by the facilitator. As we go on, we left only 5 chairs with 9 person when nearing the finishing line. Our group is very cooperative and fast in this game. We won it easily Haha. At the end of the day, our group only won 2 games out of 6. We were suppose to win 3 games instead of 2 only, but in one of the game, two of our group mates were too nervous and accidentally screwed it up. But nevermind, it's just a game, where everyone should enjoy playing it not winning it right? XD

After finishing all the games, it's lunch time. Our lunch is sponsored by our school. Next it's the Class Representavie Election event where every divisions have to elect one Class Rep. and two Asst. Class Rep. respectively. It was a boring event after all Haha. (No hard feelings to the seniors :p) I'm exhausted with the activities just now. Next year will be our turn to conduct thsoe activities for our juniors, hopefully we'll do it better. Sayanora ^^

Laundry day

Woke up at 7am in the morning with only one mission, i.e. to wash my bed sheet and some dirty clothes. But the main character this time is the bed sheet. I thought it'll be simple and easy but it turn out to be much difficult.

I soaked the bed sheet and pillow case in a separate pail while I was scrubbing the other dirty clothes. It was quite tiring because have a few pair of t-shirts to, a few underwear, a pair of jeans, socks etc to scrub. My right arm felt restless after settling the dirty clothes. Now it's time for the bed sheet. It looked easy but when I started to do the scrubbing, I was like :" gosh, I should have just sent it to the laundry shop." It was not as simple as I thought, partly due to the limited space of the sink for me to scrub. After a few minutes of hardwork, I finally gave up and just give it a rinse of water. The squeezing part was killing my muscle. I have to rinse and re-rinse it with the water to get rid of the dynamo solution. Fuuuh, how I wish I have a washing machine >.<"

The whole process took me about one and a half hour to complete. That was the longest period so far for my laundry work. Last week I planned to wash my blanket some more. Luckily I've changed my mind few days back. Or else I'll probably be dead by now Haha.

Thursday

This is the most boring day of the week, it's not because of nothing to do, it's because the day's classes start at 8am in the morning. Moreover it's the Maths class, with two boring hours. One more reason is it not only starts early, the day's classes end late - 10pm. In a while I'll have to go to the Keusahawanan lecture, from 8pm to 10pm. It's a very useless class as far as I could see. I've learned nothing from this subject so far. All I can do in the hall is yawning plus "fishing" Haha. But, I've planned to bring my homework to do in the hall later ^^

This coming Sunday is my school, Industrial Technology's orientation day aka. Interaction day. Hope it'll be fun or else I'll blame those seniors for wasting my weekends for nothing. Just now the Japanese class was interesting, I never regret to take Japanese as my foreign language. However I have some problems in memorizing the Hiragana's characters yikes >.<" Although they are only 51 basic characters, I find it very hard to memorize them. Maybe I just need more time and more practice with it.

Today is also the end of the 4th week I've left Malacca, this is the longest period I'm away from my home sweet home. I've always wanted to leave home, to stay away from home when I was younger, I thought it'll be fun. But the truth is, nothing is as good as home. Even though I'm currently sleeping in a nice hostel (compare to the others), well furnitured, the feeling is still not as satisfy as when I'm sleeping in my own room, with all the privacies I want. I missed my bed so much sob sob.

Begining of the new week

Today is a sunny day. Started of with Organic Chemistry this morning, it was a repetition from Form 6 about those alkanes thingy. Immediately after this was Mathematics. Surprisingly I wasn't upset with her teachings today Haha.

Afternoon was the interesting Japanese language class. We learned a few new things in this class, for example Genki desu ka? is How do you do? in Japanese, Kore wa dare desu ka? is Who is this? After these interactive conversation lesson was the Japanese character, Hiragana lesson, which I find it difficult to memories. Even though they look simple Haha.

I just got back from dinner at Bali-bali food court with my second girlfriend Haha. My first girlfriend rang me up at the right time after I had my last spoon of rice. Guess she missed me alot in Malacca Haha.

Time to watch drama, Sayonara and have a nice day ^^

Weekend is so bored. The weather is so hot, keep sweating since I woke up at 9am just now.

Nothing much to do today. Tried to solve the Maths Tutorial questions but it seems like I've forgotten most of it. Like those limits and continuity, functions etc. Some methods are different from what I've learn during Form 6, that's why I'm confused now. Same goes to organic chemistry, most of the concept I've return to Mr.Swee Haha. The coming holiday I'm gonna bring my notes from Malacca. Or else I'm so dead here Haha. Looking forward to go back to Malacca, miss my bed so much haha.

Konnichiwa, Hello guys, been watching a Hong Kong drama for the past few days. It's a very nice drama but a dull ending. Anyway it's still worth to watch it.

But the main point I'm going to express is about my complains on my Maths lecturer. She is totally a newbie lecturer to me. I missed my Form 6 Maths teacher so much, he's 100 times better than she is. Just now she was giving an example to explain, but until halfway she got stucked, silent for a few seconds, showed her blur face, and the next sentense that came out from her mouth is :" oh, nevermind about this, just forget about it." All of us was like " what the hell".....

She's definitely the worst Maths teacher ever in my life. How can she expect us students to understand when she doesn't even know how to do Maths. And she just copy all the solutions for every examples from a sheet of paper into the transparency slides. Her class is more like 99% reading(from her notes probably) and 1% of explaination. Gosh, I don't have any respect on her.

Just got back from the Japanese class. It was suppose to be a 2 hour class but the lecturer let us back earlier because the class today is mainly about the introduction and the origin of the Japanese words.

Our lecturer is a Japanese, he came to Malaysia for 8 years already, working as a Japanese lecturer since 2001 in USM. His name is Soeda Masatoshi. Just like the Chinese culture, the surname of the Japanese comes first, in this case - Soeda and the first name comes second - Masatoshi. however, Japanese greet each other by using their surnames instead of their first name, which is very different from Malaysia's culture.

We were told that Japanese words are originate from China's 汉字, in Japan they pronounce it as Kanji at 4 B.C. The characters are similar to the Chinese but different pronunciation. For example in Chinese, 加 is pronounce as jia but in Japanese, 加 is pronounce as ka. During that time, only men are permitted to read and write Kanji. Until 7th century, women are allowed to read and write Kanji. There, they created their own Japanese words, Hiragana and Katagana.

One more thing, our lecturer taught us about Japanese culture as well. Japanese always bow whenever they greet or they meet their friends, teachers etc. Does anyone know the original meaning behind the bows they did? According to Mr.Soeda, the reason Japanese did those bows are to show that there is no weapons on our back. I think he read or watched too much of samurais thingy Haha. That's all for now Ciaoz ^^

This is the first time I'm blogging, obviously I'm still new to it.

For the past whole week, it was a tiring orientation for freshies. USM is a nice, clean and green place. The trees are big and green, the roads and path are clean, one can also breath in the fresh air every morning. No doubt that we call it The University In Garden. Too bad I did't bring my camera along, apologise for being unable to post the photos of the campus for now. I'll post it as soon as I have a device that can take photos ^^ The seniors are very helpful here especially the PPSL (Pembimbing Program Siswa Lestari), they've sacrifise their holidays, just to guide us, to help us, to teach us, what is the University about. They're very helpful, kindhearted and willing to spare some time to give us advices. Some of them did't even have a proper sleep during the night throughout the whole orientation week just to ensure that the programmes will run well and accordingly. We, as the first year students, greatfully appreciate their sacrifises and the helps for the whole orientation week. Besides the PPSLs, the other seniors are very helpful too. For instance, some society/clubs are having a Penang tour specially for freshies, the best part of it, IT"S FOC! They really have the heart and will to help us juniors. USM ROX!

I woke up at 7.15am this morning by my phone's alarm, still kinda sleepy actually but cannot be helped, have a class at 8am. It's Maths by the way, the lecturer is a young malay girl, probably a few years older than me only... Her english is terrible, we were wondering how come our University, as a Apex status, will have this kind of quality of their lecturers, teaching the first batch of Apex students. She taught us Trigonometri this morning, and I bet there are more than 50% of the students in the class are still blur with what she'd taught this morning. Gosh I miss my Form 6 maths teacher - Mr.Seet so much.

After the "exciting" maths class, 10am I was free until 3pm. Looking at the skies, the red hot sun's burning my skin. So I was like : Hmmm, It's a good time to do my laundries. Yes, I rushed back to my room ( it was just a 100 steps away from the lecturer hall HAHA). After I did my laundries, gosh! Cloudy and it started to rain heavily! So I came back to my room, open up my lappie and start to surf the net, checked my PTPTN application and bingo, it was a success. But I'm still uncertain whether should i accept it or not, because I've applied fo JPA scholarship, a scholarship by our "lovely" government. One thing, the JPA scholarship has bonding for successful scholars. For my course, the bond is 6 years. Waow, 6 years, that is long.

Am sitting in front of my lappie alone in my room. Waiting for the next class which is at 3pm. Japanese language Haha. Today is my first class for japanese. Hopefully I can cope with it. It's 11.45am now, and I'm hungry >.<" time to catch up with some food. Bye ^^
